Torah Bright told ABC TV's 7.30 Report this week how she approaches life as a professional snowboarder, as a Mormon.
"I'm just glad that I do have the standards and morals and beliefs that I have, because I feel in this day and age that they're a pretty good thing to be taught when you're younger," she told 7.30 Report.
"So, maybe I'll make a small difference. Maybe give someone a little hope, guidance, you know, you never know."
Bright is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Cooma, New South Wales.
She is preparing to represent Australia at next year's Winter Olympic Games in Canada.
